Messenger

People in your Messenger are marked as available or unavailable depending if they are currently logged in and ready to receive messages or not.

When you add other EA SPORTS™ Members to your Messenger list, you can instantly contact them or leave messages when they’re offline.

When an unknown Member sends an initial message to you, the Member name appears in your Unknown folder. If you want to be able to communicate with this Member during a later session, you must move the Member name into a different folder.

Add to Messenger

To add a Member to your Messenger simply click the “ADD TO MESSENGER” button on the Messenger drawer. The Find Member dialogue window will be displayed. Enter in the name of the Member you are looking for and click "SEARCH". The results of your search will display below. Click on the Member you wish to add to your Messenger list, then click the "ADD" button.

Groups

To create a group and add Members to it, click the "NEW GROUP" button on the Messenger drawer. A dialogue box prompts you for the Group name. When you are satisfied with your new group’s name click "ADD". To add Members to your new Group, drag their name into the new folder. To move a Member to another Messenger list folder, drag their name out of the current folder and into the desired folder.

Send a message to a group by clicking on the group folder icon associated with the desired group and then click on the Message Group command that appears in the popup menu that is displayed. You can also delete an existing group using this popup menu.

Send Message to Member or Group

Send a message to another person by clicking on the arrow icon next to a Member’s name and then click on the Message command that appears in the popup menu that is displayed. The Member’s popup menu is located next to the Member’s name everywhere in the EA SPORTS™ online service.

You can also send a message to a Member by double clicking on the desired name in your Messenger list.

Send a message to a group by clicking on the group folder icon, associated with the desired group, and then click on the Message Group command that appears in the popup menu that is displayed. You can also send a message to a group by double clicking on the desired group name.

Receiving Messages

If a Member has sent you a message, there will be a message-waiting indicator next to that person’s name in the list. To receive the message, click on the Member’s name.

Remove Member

Using the Member popup menu next to their name, select “REMOVE”. The Member should now be removed.

Block Members

Using the Member popup menu next to their name, click Block. The Member should now be blocked. The blocked folder will only appear if there is at least one Member already blocked.
