MatchUp Lobby

Once in a room you can Create a new MatchUp, Join an existing MatchUp, or choose QuickMatch to automatically play against a comparable opponent.

QuickMatch

QuickMatch will find your opponent for you by comparing your Rating versus the Ratings of other occupants of the current room. QuickMatch will find the closest match available and automatically start a game with that member.

If QuickMatch does not find any suitable opponents, try changing to another room with more members present. (see: Joining a MatchUp Game)

Joining a MatchUp Game

Open MatchUps (those awaiting a challenger) are listed at the top while Closed MatchUps (members who are currently playing each other) are listed at the bottom of the list. If you have created a new MatchUp, your MatchUp will always be listed first.

Entry Fees

An entry fee is an administrative charge and may be required for some MatchUps.

Rooms

Select a room by using the drop-down list. The numbers listed next to the rooms indicate the number of Members currently in that room.

MatchUp Details

To view details of the currently selected MatchUp, click the DETAILS button. The Member who creates the MatchUp sets the various options and settings of that MatchUp. (See Creating a MatchUp)

Ratings

To view the ratings of the available teams (or in some cases players), click the RATINGS button located above the versus icon in the middle of the MatchUp Bar.

Room Chat

At the left of the MatchUp lobby, you can chat with other Members in the same room to set up a game. To chat with everyone in the room, enter your text message in the space provided. Then, press enter or click SEND.

Chat Whisper

When Whisper is selected, only the selected Member from the room occupants’ list will see the chat messages that you enter.
